Config Constants: stats, alternatives & is it maintained?

Maintenance check

Is Config Constants still maintained?

Mostly - but at least one sign below is worth checking before you rely on it.

Updated recently. The last release was 3 months ago.
Not tested with recent WordPress. Tested only up to 4.8.34; current plugins are tested on 7.1.

Compare

Config Constants alternatives

The most-installed plugins doing the same job, from Server & PHP Configuration. Config Constants itself ranks #12 of 13. How plugins are grouped.

#1

Standing

More installed than 65.1% of the directory

Ahead of 31,064 of the 47,734 plugins that report an install count at all. An install figure on its own says nothing; this is what it is worth.

65.1% Percentile by installs Among plugins that report an install count

31,064 Plugins it is ahead of Fewer active installs than this one

16,669 Plugins ahead of it More active installs, or the same published band

How to read that

The directory rounds install counts hard and publishes them as bands, so two plugins showing the same number are not necessarily level. The percentile is computed over the plugins that report a count at all, which excludes the quarter of the directory sitting on the reporting floor.
